New Phone Number For Bass Coast Shire CouncilCommunity members can now contact Bass Coast Shire Council from anywhere in Australia for the cost of a local call. By Bass Coast Shire Council - 22nd June 2007 - Back to News Council has changed its phone number to 1300 BCOAST, which translates to 1300 226 278.
Council’s Acting Customer Service Coordinator, Sharon Allen said the new phone number meant customers would only have to remember one number instead of three.
"1300 BCOAST will replace the use of the previous 1300 number as well as the 56 and 59 phone numbers.
"There will be a message on our old 1300 number letting callers know of the new number, but callers will still be able to get through on 5671 2211 and 5951 3311 if they wish," she said.
Ms Allen said the new number would come at no extra cost to the community or Council.
"A higher call rate of course still applies to calls made from mobiles and overseas."
