Community Opinion Sought On Hard Waste Service

Latrobe City council is inviting community comment on the hard waste service prior to a meeting of the review group taking place at the end of October.

By Latrobe City - 23rd October 2007 - Back to News

Latrobe City’s acting chief executive officer, Michael Edgar, said feedback from the community at large was essential, as the project group will soon commence reviewing the service by analysing data collected.

"The project group will be considering community feedback received, utilisation of vouchers, and bookings for the ‘at-call service’. This review will commence at a meeting of the group planned for Tuesday 30 October 2007," Mr Edgar explained.

Residents can express their opinion by clicking on the word ‘feedback’ at the top of council’s webpage www.latrobe.vic.gov.au and entering their comments; or by emailing latrobe@latrobe.vic.gov.au. Comment can also be forwarded by mail to Latrobe City Council, PO Box 264, Morwell 3840. Comment should be provided by Friday 26 October 2007. "All comment will be forwarded to the group for their consideration," Mr Edgar said.

"The outcome of the project group’s review will be tabled at the ordinary council meeting of 17 November 2007, providing council and the community with data and further recommendations in relation to the hard waste service," Mr Edgar said.

"A further update will be provided to the community following the 17 November council meeting," Mr Edgar added.
