Homegrown circus, comedy and satire in Aussie Aussie AussieComing to the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on Thursday 7 July is a unique show that will bring together acrobatics, comedy and iconic Australian songs in a culmination of energy, hilarity and jaw-dropping danger. By news@gippsland - 22nd June 2016 - Back to News The evolving Australian identity is brought to life on stage in the new tongue-in-cheek social satire Aussie Aussie Aussie. Coming to the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on Thursday 7 July, this unique show brings together acrobatics, comedy and iconic Australian songs in a culmination of energy, hilarity and jaw-dropping danger.
Latrobe City Council’s performing arts and venues coordinator, Kathleen Roberts, said that Aussie Aussie Aussie was a one-of-a-kind performance that is not to be missed.
"Have you ever seen beer can juggling? Aerial keg tricks? A three-metre-high handstand? Throw in the old school rock anthems of AC/DC and some very home-grown humour and you have a show that is worth braving the Victorian winter for."
The esteemed trio behind the show, Circus Trick Tease, was born out of the collaboration between Malia Walsh (Men of Steel, Urban Cirque), Shannon McGyrgan (Circus Royal, Circus Quirkus) and Farhad Ahadi (Silvers Circus, Gangsters Ball). Aussie Aussie Aussie follows a solid history of rave reviews and sold out shows for the company.
"The show is a celebration of our nation, poking fun at the good and bad things that make up our Great Southern Land," Ms Roberts said. "You’ll be drawn to gasp at the acrobatics, laugh at the clever quips and singalong with the classic pub hits – all in the one show."
Aussie Aussie Aussie is suitable for people 15 years of age and older. Book your tickets at the Box Office on 5176 3333 or online at www.latrobe.vic.gov.au/lpawhatson
