NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront Holiday Park Victorian Tourism Awards gets honoured NRMA Phillip
Victorian Tourism Awards honour NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront Holiday Park for its glamping tents, superior guest experiences, and advocacy for local tourism. NRMA Parks & Resorts span Australia's scenic locales.
Fresh from a significant boost to its accommodation offering with the addition of new glamping safari tents, NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront Holiday Park has taken the gold award at the Victorian Tourism Awards in the Caravan and Holiday Parks Sector. The popular holiday park offers ready access to Victoria's Phillip Island nature reserve and visitor precinct, complete with wineries, cafes and restaurants and a swag of fun outdoor activities for guests.

Enhanced island experience
Led by Park Managers Kelly and Daniel Rutter, the team at the Phillip Island park is renowned for its welcoming hospitality and outstanding standards and innovations in guest experience. The team is well-connected in the community and is a strong advocate for local tourism, supporting regional operators with public relations opportunities via hosted media and trade familiarisations.
Four new luxury glamping safari tents have been added to the popular Phillip Island holiday accommodation, offering guests absolute beachfront glamping and uninterrupted views over the sheltered and picturesque Westernport Bay as it looks towards Bass Strait.
The new tents offer guests an elevated accommodation experience coupled with front-row access to an incredible nature-and-wildlife encounter on Phillip Island. Famous for its colony of fairy penguins and its evening penguin parades, Phillip Island is well-established as a highlight on Australia's wildlife destinations.
Recognition for excellence
The Koala Sanctuary is just a few minutes' drive from the park, and the nearby town of Cowes offers a host of restaurants, cafes and shops for all the holiday essentials. Park Managers Kelly and Daniel Rutter and the team believe their success as a holiday park comes from offering a genuinely personal experience, easily connecting with guests in the park, entertaining and ensuring all have a great stay.
"We're absolutely thrilled to receive this highest of recognitions in the Victorian Tourism Awards; it's a real testament to our hardworking and dedicated team and all that we aim to provide for our guests on holidays," Mrs Kelly Rutter said.
"Now we've got the National Tourism Awards in our sights. We'll see how we go!" said Mr Daniel Rutter.
Renewed park acclaim
NRMA Parks and Resorts Chief Executive Officer Paul Davies said the recognition for the Phillip Island park was a real boost after the recent renovations. "Phillip Island offers a wonderful range of outdoors and wildlife experiences and NRMA is in the fortunate position to hold absolute beachfront access to this jewel of the south. Our new glamping tents offer a stylish new holiday experience while also enjoying the great outdoors," Mr Davies said.
