Gippsland Water Factory To Hold Works Approval Information Sessions

The Gippsland Water Factory is inviting interested stakeholders and the community to attend information sessions on the Gippsland Water Factory. These sessions follow a series of community expos held across Gippsland in late March.

The sessions will provide people with an opportunity to learn more about the project and the environmental challenges and solutions being proposed. People will also have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the project team.

A total of three sessions will be held across Gippsland -

SALE

Date: April 26
Location: The Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre, Foster Street Sale.
Time: 7:00pm - 8:30pm

TRARALGON

Date: April 27
Location: Century Inn, Princes Hwy Traralgon.
Time: 7:00pm – 8:30pm

MORWELL

Date: May 1
Location: The Waratah Restaurant, Princes Highway (near McDonalds), Morwell.
Time: 7:00pm - 8:30pm

The Gippsland Water Factory will be an innovative wastewater treatment and recycling facility located in Maryvale, near Morwell. The facility will treat up to 35 million litres of domestic and industrial wastewater daily.

The project will deliver benefits for the Gippsland region including addressing the odour currently created by the open channel section of the Regional Outfall Sewer, and providing recycled water that will benefit local industry, the environment and the community.
