Clean Up Australia Day is being held on Sunday 6 March with Business Clean Up Day being held on Tuesday 1 March and a special Schools’ Clean Up Day on Friday 4 March geared at Wellington students.

Residents and groups who would like to participate need to choose a park, beach, waterway, bushland or street that needs a clean-up and contact Wellington Shire Council’s Development Support Officer, Ros Pearce on 1300 366 244 to obtain a registration form.

Said Wellington’s Mayor Peter Gault: "The council is pleased to provide its ongoing support to this worthwhile event. Clean Up Australia Day provides an ideal opportunity for our whole community to put something positive back into the environment and creates a noticeable difference to our natural environment."
