Drums And Doggies To Entertain At The Libraries These Holidays google Latrobe City libraries have developed an exciting entertainment program for children during the March-April school holidays. By Latrobe City Council - 23rd March 2010 - Back to News Child services library officer, Noeline Grayden, said that all Latrobe City libraries are hosting activities designed to entertain school children over the break.
"All our libraries are participating in the program, which is aimed at providing children with a place to enjoy themselves within a safe environment. Two of the main activities are ‘An African Adventure’ and ‘Circus Dogs’.
"’An African Adventure’ is a one-hour interactive show by African drummers, who will invite the audience to participate in creating music. It will involve singing songs, playing drums and moving to the rhythm of Africa," Ms Grayden said.
"’Circus Dogs’ is a unique 30 minute act, starring the cutest, cleverest poodles known to man. The act is a high energy comedy show that both kids and adults will adore. People that attend the show are more than welcome to meet the stars afterwards.
"Get in quick to reserve your tickets as these shows are bound to be popular," Ms Grayden added.
‘An African Adventure’ sessions are on Tuesday 30 March at 10.30am in the Moe Library and at 1pm in the Morwell Library; then on Wednesday 31 March, at 11.30am in the Churchill Library and at 3pm at the Traralgon Library.
