StreetLife Small Business Education Packs now being deliveredLatrobe StreetLife Small Business Education Packs are currently being delivered to businesses across Latrobe City By Latrobe City Council - 2nd May 2001 - Back to News Latrobe StreetLife Small Business Education Packs are currently being delivered to businesses across Latrobe City. Businesses in the central business district of each township will receive a visit from the StreetLife Team or volunteers assisting with distribution over the next week.
Latrobe City Mayor, Councillor Brendan Jenkins, said that the StreetLife Pack has been specifically tailored to meet the education and training needs of small businesses within the region.
"A diverse range of local education and training providers have contributed information and course guidelines relevant to identified business needs; from assistance with business plan development, coping with the new tax system through to strategic marketing and media and promotional campaigns for business," Cr Jenkins said.
Latrobe StreetLife Coordinator, Ashley Creighton, said contributors to the package included Monash University, GEST (Gippsland Employment Skills and Training), SAGE Computer Support, SCOPE, Work Focus Inc, Small Business Victoria, TFI Training Consultants and the Latrobe City Economic Development Unit.
"The Latrobe StreetLife Education Package provides businesses with a valuable reference tool to source quality education and training opportunities within the region," Mr Creighton said.
At this stage, 1000 packs will be distributed across Latrobe City. Any business or business operator who doesn’t receive a pack, who is interested in obtaining one, is advised to ring Ashley Creighton at Latrobe City Council on 1300 367 700.
