Yarram Community Meeting – 9 December

Yarram residents are being invited to have their say on Council services and issues affecting them when Councillors and senior officers from Wellington Shire Council host their next community meeting in the area on Tuesday 9 December

By Wellington Shire Council - 1st December 2003 - Back to News

The informal meeting starts at 7pm and is being held in the Pelican Room at the rear of Yarram Service Centre – providing an ideal opportunity to ask questions and raise any issues of interest to the local community.

Councillors and senior officers visit a different locality in Wellington each month as part of an ongoing process of consultation and communication with everyone who lives in the Shire.

Said Wellington’s Mayor John Jago: "These community visits are invaluable in enabling residents to find out more about Council services provided for them, and for Councillors to hear first-hand about local issues of importance. We would encourage as many local residents as possible to pop along, so that they don’t miss out on this opportunity to have their say on issues affecting them."

After Yarram the next community meeting is at Golden Beach on 8 February 2004.
