Meerlieu and Hollands Landing Community Meeting – 14 October

Meerlieu and Hollands Landing residents are being invited to have their say on Council services & issues affecting them when Councillors and senior officers from Wellington Shire Council host their next community meeting in the area on 14 October

By Wellington Shire Council - 6th October 2003 - Back to News

The informal meeting is being held over a free barbecue at Meerlieu Public Hall, starting at 12.30pm, and will provide an ideal opportunity to discuss any issues of interest or concern to the local community.

Councillors and senior officers visit a different locality in Wellington each month as part of an ongoing process of consultation and communication with everyone who lives in the Shire.

Said Wellington’s Mayor John Jago: "These community visits are a very worthwhile, productive exercise, enabling residents to find out more about Council services being provided for them, and for Councillors to hear first-hand about local issues of importance. We would encourage any local residents who can attend to pop along."

After Meerlieu and Hollands Landing the next community meeting is at Munro on 11 November.
