New cultural centre in Cowes launches 1 November 2023
Bass Coast Shire Council is excited to unveil Cowes' new cultural centre. Join us for a program launch event on November 1st, 2023, featuring previews and an opportunity to explore the centre.
Wondering what's inside the new cultural centre? Dreaming of all the performances that may be held there? The books to be read, the galleries and exhibitions that may allow your mind to wander away in? Bass Coast Shire Council is thrilled to announce the opening of the new cultural centre in Cowes. To celebrate, council will be holding a sneak-peek preview event to launch the new program season on Wednesday, 1 November 2023.
Due to limited seating, we're using a ballot system for ticket allocation. Enter the ballot for a chance to attend this celebratory evening, and results will be emailed by October 24th, 2023
Cultural centre ballot
The program launch event will feature an exciting preview of upcoming performances as well as explorations of this space including a new library, gallery and much more. This is an incredible opportunity to discover what the new cultural centre in Cowes has to offer.
The Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan said, "We would love to be able to invite everyone to attend, but with limited seating this is just not possible, so we've opened a ballot where you can express your interest and tickets will be allocated at random. We encourage all members of our community to enter the upcoming ballot to enjoy an evening of celebration, entertainment and inspiration."
Event details
Ballot entries are limited to one per-person and tickets will be allocated one per-person. Entrants to the ballet will be notified by email of the outcome of your interest by Tuesday, 24 October 2023.

- 6.00pm registration for 6.30pm
- Council will contact entrants who registered by email of the outcome of the ballot by Tuesday, 24 October 2023
- Limited seating - tickets are limited to one per person
