Following the 2021 flood event, the buildings at the Traralgon Recreation Reserve were damaged beyond repair, having a devastating impact on local sporting clubs and community groups who used the facilities. The Federal government through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program as well as the Victorian government through the Local Community Sport and Recreation Projects and Latrobe City Council jointly funded the new facilities.
