New Rebate Incentive For Customers To Save Water

Under a new Victorian Government initiative encouraging householders to cut water consumption in the home and garden, East Gippsland Water customers can now claim a rebate of $30 on their water bill

when they spend $50 on water saving products.

This rebate is available for purchases made between 11 March and 31 May 2009. To qualify, households need only spend $50 on one or more eligible water saving products, which include: shower timers; mulch; compost/mulch bins; trigger nozzles; flow control devices; drip watering systems/weep hoses; garden tap timers; wetting/moisture agents; rainwater diverters, waterless car cleaning products; and, temporary greywater diverters.

To qualify you need to be a residential customer of East Gippsland Water and connected to the reticulated water supply. Customers should complete and submit a claim form available from East Gippsland Water and provide original receipts.

This latest rebate offer is in addition to a $30 rebate currently available for spending $100 or more on water saving products under the Victorian Government’s Water Smart Gardens and Homes Rebate Scheme.
