Help Shape Water And Wastewater Services

There is still time for East Gippsland Water customers to take up the opportunity to participate in input sessions being held during January,and help shape the water and wastewater services they receive.

As state-owned enterprises, every water corporation in Victoria is required by the State Government to develop and produce a five year Water Plan. East Gippsland Water is now in the process of preparing a Water Plan for 2013-2018, which will cover specific challenges, objectives and initiatives to be implemented during the period.

The corporation is keen to receive customer input on the following aspects of its services:

  • The structure of prices.
  • Levels of service - How do your priorities and requirements compare with what is currently being offered in relation to -
  • - Water quality and water security

    - Sewerage services

    - Incident response times

    Input sessions are being held at the following locations:

    Bairnsdale RSL (for Bairnsdale, Wy Yung, Lucknow, Eastwood, Lindenow, Lindenow South, Nicholson)

    Wed 11 January

    Paynesville Community Centre (for Paynesville, Eagle Point, Newlands Arm, Raymond Island)

    Thu 12 January

    Bruthen Mechanics Hall (for Bruthen, Wiseleigh, Sarsfield)

    Tue 17 January

    Omeo Hall (for Omeo, Swifts Creek, Dinner Plain)

    Wed 18 January

    Lakes Entrance Mechanics Hall (for Lakes Entrance, Kalimna, Lake Tyers Beach, Lake Tyers Aboriginal Trust, Lake Bunga, Nowa Nowa)

    Thu 19 January

    Buchan Neighbourhood House (for Buchan)

    Tue 24 January

    Orbost Football Club Rooms, Lochiel Park (for Orbost, Newmerella, Marlo, Bemm River)

    Tue 24 January

    Cann River Community Hall (for Cann River)

    Tue 31 January

    Mallacoota Mud Brick Building (for Mallacoota)

    Tue 31 January

    East Gippsland Water Board members will also be attending a number of these sessions.

    Each session will run from 7pm to 9pm and refreshments will be provided. To participate, and for catering purposes, please phone East Gippsland Water's customer service team on 1800 671 841 during business hours, providing your name and preferred location. Alternatively, email egw@egwater.vic.gov.au

    Then, simply turn up on the night.
