At the beginning of this year, we held a workshop to discuss the creation of a brand that would be used by Gippsland producers to give food & fibre products a way to be collaboratively recognised. Through that brand, Gippsland would build greater awareness of the quality, diversity and uniqueness of the region. Our intent is to align with other regional brand strategies like Destination Gippsland, so we are all working together to build the best Gippsland brand, promoting the region all around Australia, and in the bigger picture, the world!

We've made a start on some preliminary concepts, but it's very early days, and there will be lots more consultation as we progress, but we'd love your thoughts on these initial ideas. This brand will also heavily leverage the equity already created through the East Gippsland Naturally Good brand and Invest Gippsland. Click here to check it out.

Over 40 Gippslanders made a brilliant start on tackling some of the issues faced by the hospitality and food services industry at a forum held recently in collaboration with TAFE Gippsland at the Tinamba Hotel. There was such a positive vibe in the room, with innovative ideas, concepts and a genuine desire to take a leadership role in helping the industry grow and prosper. We are finalising a summary of an action plan framework that was enthusiastically discussed on the day and will have a date locked in soon for the follow up session and next forum. Forums like this are such an important part of Gippsland working as one - together we are stronger!
