Nominate a Top Senior

Latrobe City Senior Citizen of the Year award, now open for nominations.

If so, they are worthy of being nominated for the Latrobe City Senior Citizen of the Year award.

The award honours senior citizens who have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year and/or have given outstanding service to a community within the municipality of Latrobe City Council over several years.

Previous nominees have served such groups and causes as the Indigenous community, churches, sporting groups, Royal Children’s Hospital and Country Fire Authority.

To be eligible, the person must live in Latrobe City, be over 60 years of age and should have made, or be making, a valuable contribution to the community as a volunteer in Latrobe City.

The award is judged by Councillors and will be presented at the Australia Day Awards in January 2021.

Submissions close Wednesday, 9 September at 5pm.
