This event provides opportunities for guests to learn more about how innovation is critical for success in business.

Keynote speakers at the luncheon include: George Harris, President of Hydro Inc, America; Geoff Greer, Victorian and Tasmanian State General Manager – NAB.

Mr Geoff Greer of NAB, said, ‘We joined the Gippsland Innovation Festival as a sponsor for the first time this year and we are pleased to be able to recognise the role innovation plays in successful businesses.’

He continued, ‘Ross Bertoli’s vision for Hydro Australia and his strong desire to innovate has created substantial new value for his customers and the Gippsland community through employment and reinvestment.’

Hydro Australia Pty Ltd is part of Hydro Inc, the largest independent pump repairer in the world. They commenced operations in Australia in October 1998 and have grown from a small team based in leased facilities in Yallourn to a business employing over 24 people, now operating out of their own purpose built facility in Morwell. They provide engineering and technical support to companies all over Australia.

Their point of difference is providing an innovative whole of system approach, focused on increasing equipment life and getting best value out of products.

Mr Ross Bertoli said, ‘NAB has been a great supporter of local business and is a significant factor in our growth. We are very pleased to be able to host the inaugural luncheon and to be part of the Gippsland Innovation Festival this year.’

Mr Kelvin McDermott, Nab’s Regional Executive for Gippsland, said: "The Nab / Hydro Australia Business Innovation Luncheon, demonstrates the link between Gippsland and the wider Australian & Global Economies. It highlights the regional benefits of local businesses, such as Hydro Australia and NAB, working in partnership for the benefit of our local communities."

Mr Greer responded, ‘We are pleased to have contributed to Hydro Australia’s success. We look forward to hearing more about their journey at the Gippsland Business Innovation Luncheon, and about their partnership with Hydro America.’

Ms Power, organiser of the Gippsland Innovation Festival, concluded, ‘It is great to see two successful companies working together and sharing their experiences with the regions leaders. The Festival organisers would like to thank Hydro Australia and NAB for hosting this event’.
