Wool House accommodation
When you hear 'farm stay', a dreamy studio with natural light and coffee-toned wood might not be the first thing that comes to mind. The Wool House is an elegant option for those who want to escape the hustle of urban Melbourne for the tranquillity of East Gippsland. Kick back in the living room and admire your view of the lake or have a long soak in the spacious bathtub.
Guests are treated to a mouthwatering welcome pack that includes farm-fresh lamb, a bottle of Lightfoot wine, Picnic Point Sparkling Apple juice, Nicholson Farm coffee and Bruthen Honey. All these tasty treats are proudly grown and made in East Gippsland.
If the weather's right, light the fire pit outside and cuddle up while the sun sets. It's the perfect spot for an al fresco dinner - there's even a BBQ, if you're so inclined. Follow it up with a deep sleep in the king-sized bed, equipped with the softest linens for a well-earned rest.
Scenic farm adventure
Just down the hill from the studio you will find a private jetty, where you can moor your boat or kayak. This is an excellent option for the sporty folks among us. You are encouraged to bring your push bikes or water crafts to enjoy the natural landscape around you.
The farm location is Forge Creek Lamb, a well-established 'paddock to plate' business. You'll see woolly sheep roaming about the property and hear the gentle maaaa-ing of lambs.
