2021/22 Community Sponsorship Program applications open from Baw Baw Shire Council
Round 2 of Baw Baw Shire Council's 2021/22 Community Sponsorship program is now open for applications.
Sponsorship funding is available for community events delivered in Baw Baw Shire and for residents that are competing in or attending an event in which they will be representing Baw Baw Shire. The program aims to encourage and assist individuals and groups that make positive contributions within our community or are ambassadors for our region.

Responsible leadership
Mayor Danny Gos"Baw Baw Shire Council is committed to building responsible leadership and creating vibrant communities in Baw Baw. Our Community Sponsorship program demonstrates that commitment, with almost $40,000 provided in funding to support groups and events last year.
"We understand that the impacts of COVID have created real challenges and we want our community to know that we're here to support you. I encourage all eligible individuals and groups to seize the opportunity and apply for sponsorship support that is needed now more than ever."
Applications and grants
Eligible community events may receive up to $5,000 in sponsorship funding. Individual Baw Baw Ambassadors must be a resident of Baw Baw Shire and may receive up to $500, while group or team Ambassadors must be based in Baw Baw Shire and may receive up to $1,500.
Applications for this round of sponsorship will be accepted until midday on Tuesday 29 November. A third and final sponsorship funding round for this financial year will open from 7 March to 4 April.
