Grant information session for local sport and recreation groups

Wellington Shire Council is inviting eligible community sport and recreation groups to attend an information session on Tuesday 12 October, for details of the 2005 Country Action Grant Scheme and the Community Facilities Funding Program.

The Country Action Grant Scheme offers grants of up to $5,000, which are available for local groups running initiatives designed to increase the inclusiveness of sport and active recreation in the community.

The Community Facilities Funding Program will assist local community groups, in partnership with the council, to develop and upgrade local sport and recreation facilities, with grants of up to $50,000 available.

The information session is being held on Tuesday 12 October from 7.00pm in the Wellington Room at the Port of Sale Civic Centre, 70 Foster Street Sale, and the presenter is Regional Manager of Sport and Recreation Victoria, Michael Meyer.
