Community Satisfaction For Council Rises Again

Bass Coast Shire Council received pleasing results for the second year in a row in the Annual Community Satisfaction Survey for 2005 this week.

By Bass Coast Shire Council - 27th May 2005 - Back to News

The Survey measures customer satisfaction across a range of services and functions as well as overall satisfaction for the performance of Council for the preceding 12 months.

The Survey is conducted by telephone interviewed with the ‘head of households’. Those surveyed are asked to give a rating to indicate their level of satisfaction. Ratings range from 100 being ‘Excellent’, to 20 being ‘Needs a lot of Improvement’.

Bass Coast Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Allan Bawden, said the results show improvement overall out of the twelve services / functions measured.

"Significant improvement is indicated in Local Roads and Footpaths, Enforcement of By Laws and Economic Development," said Mr Bawden.

"Council is committed to the continuous improvement of all services and functions. The Survey is one way of assessing community satisfaction with the level and quality of services.

"Our aim is to ensure each year our community is increasingly satisfied and the results continue to move in the right direction."
