Gippsland Business Innovation Luncheon Celebrates Local SuccessPatties Foods will host the second NAB Gippsland Business Innovation Luncheon in Bairnsdale on Tuesday May 16th. By Gippsland Innovation Festival - 16th May 2006 - Back to News The lunch will be attended by Business, Government and community leaders from across Gippsland. This event provides opportunities for guests to learn more about how innovation is critical for success in business.
Keynote speakers at the luncheon include: Richard Rijs, CEO of Patties Foods and Geoff Greer, Victorian and Tasmanian State General Manager– NAB.
Mr Geoff Greer of NAB, said, "We joined the Gippsland Innovation Festival as a sponsor to be able to recognise the role innovation plays in successful LOCAL businesses."’
He continued, "Patties Foods has invested in the Gippsland community through employment and reinvestment. The company’s new venture into the American market is a great example of Richard Rijs’ ongoing commitment to innovation and development."
Patties Foods has grown from a small bakery in Lakes Entrance to a world-class manufacturing facility which supplies a range of food products across Australia. The company is now following up on its retrieval of Aussie Icon Four’n’Twenty Pies from foreign ownership with a venture into the American market.
Mr Richard Rijs said, "NAB has been a great supporter of local business and a big factor in our expansion. We are very pleased to be able to host a Gippsland Business Innovation luncheon and to be part of the Gippsland Innovation Festival this year."
