Have Your Say On The Future Growth Of Traralgon’S Activity Centre – Community Consultation Period Extended Traralgon Post Office All community members wanting to influence the future direction and growth of Traralgon’s town centre are urged to have their say on the Traralgon Activity Centre Plan Key Directions Report. By Latrobe City - 16th February 2011 - Back to News As there has been a high interest in the Report, Council have extended the submission period by 4 weeks, which takes the new close date to 15 March 2011 and will help ensure nobody misses the deadline.
Latrobe City mayor, Councillor Darrell White, said that all responses will assist Council consideration of the community’s desires.
"The Traralgon Activity Centre Plan Key Direction Report addresses many important facets of the town centre. Some of the Reports key considerations include pedestrian and bicycle connections, car parking, managing traffic congestion, sustainability, open spaces, retail and business services, public transport, community safety and the character of the town.
"Council has received a high number of submissions to this point, with many still being received, which is fantastic news. If you wish to provide feedback to the draft Key Directions Report or have suggestions you feel will improve the Traralgon town centre, I encourage you to lodge a submission with Council," Cr White concluded.
Copies of Latrobe City’s Traralgon Activity Centre Plan Draft Key Directions Report are available for viewing during office hours at Latrobe City’s Traralgon, Morwell and Moe Service Centres and the Churchill Community Hub. The Traralgon Activity Centre Plan Draft Key Directions Report is also available on Council’s website at www.latrobe.vic.gov.au.
