Golden Beach Community Meeting – 13 FebruaryResidents of Golden Beach and district are being invited to have their say on Council services and issues affecting them when Councillors and senior officers from Wellington Shire host their next community meeting in the area on Sunday 13 February By Wellington Shire Council - 31st January 2005 - Back to News The informal meeting starts at 10.00am and is being held in the Golden Beach Hall – providing an ideal opportunity to ask questions and raise any issues of interest to the local community. This will be followed by light refreshments.
Councillors and senior officers visit a different locality in Wellington each month as part of an ongoing process of consultation and communication with everyone who lives in the Shire.
Said Wellington’s Mayor Peter Gault: "These community visits are invaluable in enabling residents to find out more about council services provided for them, and for Councillors to hear first-hand about local issues of importance. I would encourage as many local residents as possible to come along, discuss your issues and talk with your Councillors."
After Golden Beach the next community meeting is at Coongulla on 8 March.
