Wellington Shire Council Mayor, Cr Scott Rossetti, said the program continues to demonstrate the strength and creativity of the local community. "These grants are a fantastic way to support the people and groups who make Wellington such a vibrant and connected place to live. We’re seeing projects that not only bring people together through events and festivals but also improve the facilities and services that communities rely on every day."

"Whether it’s a new roof for a museum, planning for a youth production, or equipment for a local sports club, these grants help turn great ideas into real outcomes. I encourage all eligible groups to consider applying in the next round," said Cr Rossetti.

The next round of Community Assistance Grants will open on 9 January 2026 and close on 4 March 2026. Eligible not-for-profit community groups are encouraged to apply for funding between $2,501 and $6,000.
