Free E-Commerce RoadshowsFree workshop for micro business owners By GREEN Inc - 12th June 2002 - Back to News Tell us your opinion See what others have said The recently formed Enterprise Development Network (EDN) has been successful in obtaining funding from the State Government of Victoria to host an evening of free e-commerce presentations and workshops for people who run micro businesses.
The EDN consists of the Gippsland Area Consultative Committee, Latrobe City Council, Latrobe Business Centre, The regional office of the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development and GREEN Inc.
The EDN, which was established earlier this year, aims to strengthen and promote the informal cooperation that exists between these organisations, and prevent duplication of roles and activities.
The EDN is focused on assisting businesses in LaTrobe City to develop. The E-Commerce Roadshows, produced by the State Government of Victoria, is one of the first events to be delivered by the EDN, in partnership with the Monash Regional Centre for ICT. It is a great opportunity for people who run small businesses to learn some useful skills.
The Roadshows will consist of 2 presentations and 2 workshops delivered by experienced business consultants from KPMG. The workshops and presentations have been designed for micro businesses and particularly for people who run businesses from home. Business people who attend the workshops will learn how to make the right technology decisions for their business as well as what to avoid, and can develop practical step-by-step plans to implement and apply technology effectively to improve their business activities.
The E-Commerce Roadshows will be held at the GREEN Inc Technology and Business Development Centre on Monday 24th June. Business people wanting to attend or find out more can phone GREEN Inc on 5122 6113.
