Free camping at Omeo Recreation Reserve until 17 April 2020 as Omeo Caravan Park reopens for Easter
East Gippsland Shire Council remains committed to having the Omeo Caravan Park reopened in time for Easter.
The current lease for the park ends on 31 March after which time Council can access the park to complete flood remedial works and safety improvements. The reopening of the park in time for Easter is dependent on works being completed and the park being deemed safe for guests and visitors.
With the support of the Omeo Recreation Reserve Committee of Management, free camping is available at the Omeo Recreation Reserve until the caravan park reopens
Existing and future bookings
Council has appointed a short-term caretaker to manage the park, starting in early April. Until our caretakers start, the Omeo Service Centre will continue to take enquiries regarding existing and future bookings. Please call 5153 9500.
Unfortunately, we do not have access to existing bookings that have been made through the current park tenants. We ask that any guests with existing bookings from April onwards, who have not already confirmed their booking with us, to please contact us.
Free camping is available at the Omeo Recreation Reserve until the caravan park reopens. Due to other event bookings at the reserve, free camping is not available on 15-17 April.
