Join Baw Baw Shire Children Expo free during Children's Week on 21 - 29 October 2023
Celebrate Children's Week 2023 (Oct 21-29) with Baw Baw Shire Council's Children's Expo! Free, interactive activities for young residents and caregivers promoting learning and play.
In celebration of Children's Week 2023 (21 October - 29 October) Baw Baw Shire Council's Children's Expo is back, with a stack of free and interactive activities in store for our shire's youngest residents. All parents and carers of young children in the Shire are welcome to come along to the Expo with their little ones to enjoy a range of activities aimed at encouraging learning and development through play.
Children's week theme: 'Children's right to relax, play, and enjoy activities' - Face painting, sensory play, sing-alongs, and StoryTime with Warragul Library - MyLi
Children's week activities
This year's children's week theme is 'Children have the right to relax, play and to take part in activities they enjoy'. In line with this theme, some of the activities planned for the day include free face painting, sensory play activities, sing-alongs, and StoryTime sessions with Warragul Library - MyLi.

- When: Tuesday 24 October from 10am - 1pm
- Where: 12 George Street, Warragul (Next to Grace Berglund Kindergarten)
Mayor of Baw Baw Shire Annemarie McCabe said, "Our Children's Expo is an exciting day out for our local families. We've got a fun line up of activities planned, that encourage our little ones to learn a new skill or try something new."
"With so many new young families moving to the Shire, our Children's Expo is a great way to interact with other families and also become familiar with the family friendly services nearby to you, and we encourage you to come along!" Ms McCabe said.
Family services information
Council staff will be available on site to provide information on a range of Family and Children's services available for residents including kindergartens, family day care, immunisation sessions, and maternal and child health care services.
