Community Consultation Session For Gaskin Park Master Plan Draft ReportLatrobe City is holding a consultation session for community members to have their say on the Gaskin Park Master Plan Draft Report. By Latrobe City - 28th February 2011 - Back to News Latrobe City mayor, Councillor Darrell White, said that Council and Hansen Partnership will be conducting the consultation session at the Gaskin Park Stadium at Gaskin Park, Manning Drive Churchill on Friday 4 March from 11am to 1pm.
"The draft plan was developed through in-depth community engagement, in particular with current and potential users including representatives of sports clubs in the Churchill area, Churchill and District Community Association (CDCA) and Monash University.
"By holding the consultation session, it gives the community a great opportunity to share their views on the findings of the draft plan, or just to discover more, as Council and Hansen Partnership will be available to discuss the Gaskin Park Master Plan Draft Report at the session.
"The overview of the draft plan is for Gaskin Park to become a major sporting precinct that will provide for higher level sporting needs of Latrobe City’s Southern Towns. It will also provide guidance for future capital works projects that will further enhance the functionality, use and amenity of the Gaskin Park reserve," Cr White concluded.
Written submissions are able to be presented to Council in relation to the Gaskin Park Master Plan Draft Report until Friday 11 March 2011.
