Recruitsolutions.com.au is a fully interactive website offering job seekers a ‘Career Resource Centre,’ providing a number of informative tips and proformas designed to help with the daunting task of finding a job. The website covers skills development including resume writing, cover letter and job application guides, interview tips and more. Candidates can also test their typing speed in the comfort of their own home using the free downloadable typing test available from the site.
"For administration roles, to include your very own typing speed report with your resume can be beneficial, and certainly quite impressive to a prospective employer," said Debbie Grist, the Director of Recruit Solutions in Traralgon.
Ms Grist said that access to job seeking expertise and resources would assist a lot of people who are seeking employment, particularly those who are not eligible to utilise the Job Network agencies services. "Until now, there has been no other avenue for people who are currently employed, but are seeking a new challenge within their career, to hone their skills and gain confidence in applying for other positions. Our Career Resources Centre will be constantly added to as our consultants come up with more helpful proformas, tips, ideas, and website links."
The website was designed with both candidates and employers in mind. "We have also included a great lot of information for employers with regards to how we see their staff as being their businesses most important asset," said Ms. Grist. "‘Talent Management’ refers to recruiting and retaining a qualified, effective workforce that reflects the dynamics and values that an organization represents. We feel that this fact is very often under-appreciated, and our site can help employers gain some insight when next recruiting staff."
"It is quite confusing for employers at the moment in knowing which agency does what – some are Job Network, some run Apprentices and Traineeships, others have disability contracts. As a private agency, Recruit Solutions caters to a different clientele again. Our website explains the differences."
The site evolved through extensive consultation with in house consultants and also with Industrial Relations experts from Melbourne, in an effort to make sure the content would be relevant to users.
"We see the new website as a conglomeration of our years of experience and expertise now being available to all Latrobe Valley residents," Ms Grist said.
'With the launch of Recruitsolutions.com.au, we are taking a further step into the brave new world of networked communities and online doorways, and I am proud that Latrobe Valley residents can utilise this exciting initiative," she said.
