Clint Eastwood - Independent Candidate for Gippsland East‘Make Your Vote Count’ By Clint Eastwood - 23rd October 2006 - Back to News From Maffra to Mallacoota, Bairnsdale to Bendoc, Stratford to Swift’s Creek, the electorate of Gippsland East is asking our local representative:
What have you actually done for us over the last seven years?
Clint Eastwood, the Independent Candidate for Gippsland East is asking every voter, no matter what their allegiances,
to think very hard about what they want for themself, their family, their friends and their community, in the years ahead.
This is a critical time in the decision making history of our region", said Clint.
"People are telling me from all over the region, we want a better deal. We want a fair deal, for our entire region."
"We want our hospitals to be world standard, not third world standard.
Instead of cost-cutting, and down-grading our services and facilities, we should be getting investment and upgrading.
We deserve much better!"
"Why are our specialists leaving? We are losing Paediatricians, Surgeons, Dentists; the list goes on.
Why hasn’t Orbost got its new wing yet? Why hasn’t Bairnsdale got its new Oncology and Dialysis Unit?
Why is the Sale community screaming out for help? Damn it, we don’t even have enough blankets, for goodness sake.
Schools, Roads, Water, and the like, are all vitally important. But our health is, and always will be paramount in our lives".
"Out of the five other candidates standing for the electorate of Gippsland East, I am yet to hear anything in regards to our ailing health system.
What will they and their party mates offer (if anything), to ensure the future health and wellbeing of our children, our families, our friends,
and our diverse community of East Gippsland?"
"So, will you vote for more of the same lacklustre, laidback and lazy performance? Will you vote for someone who is going to continue to offer us
indifference, inequality and inaction? Will you again vote for a bleak future?"
"Or this time around, will you decide to make your vote really count?"
"Make sure your vote is towards a change for a better future, and a fair go for all of us in Eastern Gippsland".
On Election Day, Vote 1 - Clint Eastwood: ‘A Vote For Change’.
