Seeking feedback on ideas for new Loch Sport entry signage

Wellington Shire Council is keen to receive feedback from Loch Sport residents and ratepayers on concept designs for new, enhanced entry signage for the coastal town.

By Wellington Shire Council - 5th April 2004 - Back to News

This initiative follows many requests from the local community to replace the existing signage with a more visually striking entry statement to welcome visitors to Loch Sport and help its local tourism industry.

The concept designs will be on display from Tuesday 6 April through to Friday 16 April on the Loch Sport community website www.lochsport.com as well as at Loch Sport Lodge and the post office in the town. Comments sheets will also be provided at each location and this feedback will be taken on board by the council when it decides the final design for the entry signs, which it is envisaged may also be complemented by suitable landscaping.

Said Wellington’s Mayor Jeff Amos: "We have listened to the people of Loch Sport and taken on board their signage requests. Now it’s important that they give us their opinions on the design concepts, so that we can press forward to deliver a more striking entry statement to this coastal town and assist its tourism drive."
