First Round Of Community Small Grants OpenThe first round of the East Gippsland Shire Council Community Small Grants for the 2006/07 financial year is now open. By East Gippsland Shire Council - 9th August 2006 - Back to News Council is inviting community groups, organisations and sporting bodies to apply for funding of up to $5,000.
This financial year Council will again offer two funding rounds through the Small Grants program.
Applications for the first funding round close Monday, 4 September 2006, with the second round due to start in February 2007.
Grants are available to support non-profit community organisations, groups, sporting bodies, community halls and recreation reserve committees to develop projects and services that are of benefit to the wider community from the following three grant streams: Community Activities Grants; Community Facilities Grants; and Community Events Grants.
Community organisations that received grants in 2005/06 should ensure that they have completed their final reports to be eligible for this years funding round if re-applying.
Guidelines, funding criteria and grant application forms are available from Council’s Corporate Centre, Business/Libraries, and Outreach Centres or the Shire’s website www.egipps.vic.gov.au.
