While most of the milestones were 15 years or under, two were made for 40 and 35 years.

The Shire’s ever popular Mobile Library Driver, Keith Ridout, was presented with a 40-year certificate, while Group Manager Assets, Phil Davies, has reached 35 years.

The long service awards are acknowledged for staff of East Gippsland Shire Council or former Shires/services which amalgamated in 1995.

Those to receive certificates were: Keith Ridout (40 years), Phil Davies (35 years), Terry Lamshed (20 years), Kate Nelson (15 years), Denece Sippo (15 years), Jim Ferguson (15 years), Cam Gibbs (15 years), Anita Squires (15 years), Penny Clark (11 years), Steve Martin (11 years) and Di Hodge (10 years). The two 11-year awards were made because there was no awards ceremony last year.

"Congratulations to all staff who received long service awards, in particular Keith Ridout and Phil Davies," said Steve Kozlowski.
