Youth Festival – Exo Week Meet You At The ExodomeBy - 23rd December 2004 - Back to News Look out for it. Lakes Summer Youth Festival called - ‘Exoweek- Lifes Excellent and U R Excellent’ – from Monday the 3rd of January to Friday 7th January, at 673 the Esplanade – the old market site in town. 1pm to 7pm every day activities, 7pm to 9pm light entertainment with bands each night.
You will see the EXO DOME, the tent that will house the main arena, from blocks away. In that arena, over the week, many youth will try to win in the many, crazy and diverse games and activities that will be staged.
It will be an action packed week, with themes like Fear Facta, you may get dunked with carp, or just plain dunked!! Yeehaa Wednesday you can join in the Bucking Bull or lasso the ‘critter’, and meet Kylie – East Gippslands’ Whip cracker who was in the Opening Ceremony for the Olympic Games 2000. Gladiators, overcome your opponent with the mace or swords, Wet n Wild - can you get a can of drink under great pressure!! and the only serious event for the week’s activities will be ‘Popstars on Vacation’.
We invite all young people to audition 11am to 1pm Monday to Thursday. The winner will receive an excellent prize and will perform at the Friday night concert at the rotunda.
In addition to all that, there is the laser skirmish – this will prove to be a great hit with all ages, as they compete and combat to be the best. Not to be missed is the giant jumping castle – we are changing the way youth activities are done – fun, laughter and out of the box entertainment. 3TR FM ‘road crew’ will be coming along also as will the Police smart cars.

The Friday concert is shaping up to be huge – we have five bands, a guest speaker from out of town and lots of giveaways. So we invite all young people to come along throughout the week and all families to join us on the Friday night at the concert.
