Baw Baw residents are invited to come at Warragul Farmers Market for a council pop-up on 19 November 2022 at Civic Park Warragul

Residents of Baw Baw Shire are encouraged to come along to the upcoming Warragul Farmers Market to chat with councillors and council staff members about the issues that are important to them.

Baw Baw Shire Council pop-up will be held on Saturday 19 November at Civic Park Warragul, the Warragul Farmers Market will provide market attendees the perfect opportunity to speak with members of council face to face and all while exploring the range of goodies and produce on offer at the market. The pop-up session is also a chance for community members to learn more about the range of services and projects that council is currently operating across the Shire.

All residents are invited to come along and meet with councillors and the Baw Baw Shire team and share ideas and raise concerns

Council pop-up program

The pop-up session will include upcoming free green waste disposal, and a variety of community consultation opportunities. The pop-up will be at:

• Warragul Farmers Market
• When: 8:30am - 1:00pm on Saturday 19 November
• Where: Civic Park, Warragul

As part of councilcs 2022 pop-up program, there will be one final pop-up session to be held at Tanjil South on Saturday 10 December 2022. More details will be provided on council's website as they are confirmed Council Pop-up Program website.

The popular council Pop-up program will be back in 2023 with councillors and staff heading to a range of different towns across the Shire speaking to locals where they live.

Mayor Cr Michael Leaney said, "I look forward to the council pop-up programs as they come up every few months. These sessions are a great opportunity for the council to learn a lot by directly engaging with our residents close to home."

We anticipate this market to be a busy one as the weather warms up and we come closer to the Christmas period. For anyone thinking of heading to the market, I encourage you to stop by the council stand, say hi and have a chat about whatever may be on your mind."

Central Ward Councillor Joe Gauci said, "There is much for council to learn from conversations with residents through these Pop-up sessions. I look forward to chatting to some of our residents at the Warragul market and also enjoying what the market has on offer."

Central Ward Councillor Danny Goss said, "I enjoy attending the pop-up sessions and speaking to many residents about a range of matters on their mind. These sessions are a great way for community members to ask a question and find out more information about the things going on across the Shire."
