Hearing local priorities

Community members are warmly invited to attend a community morning tea at the Mallacoota Community Clubrooms from 10.15 am on Tuesday 22 July, where councillors look forward to listening to locals and hearing what matters most to them.

Mayor Cr John White said council's Listening Tour is an important way to stay in touch with the challenges and opportunities facing different parts of the shire. "We're committed to being visible, accessible and available to the community - and that means taking the time to listen and learn. Mallacoota is a strong, resilient community. These visits are a chance to hear firsthand about local priorities, gather insights, and build understanding that helps shape council's decisions," John said.

During the visit, councillors and staff will also tour local facilities and meet with representatives from community groups, local organisations and the business community. More Listening Tour visits are planned across East Gippsland throughout the rest of the year. Please visit trybooking website.
