Bass Coast Shines at Gippsland Business Awards
Bass Coast Businesses were winners at the annual Federation Business School Gippsland Business Awards.
Two Bass Coast Businesses were winners at the annual Federation Business School Gippsland Business Awards on Friday, 31 August.
Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor, Pamela Rothfield, congratulates BIG4 Inverloch Holiday Park who took out the award for Accommodation, and fellow Inverloch business, Norte Wear who took out the Retail category.
"It’s fantastic to see Bass Coast represented as leaders in the Business industry in Gippsland," Cr Rothfield said.
"We are lucky to have such a strong business industry locally, and it’s wonderful to see this acknowledged through the Gippsland Business Awards."
Norte was recognised for its commitment to being environmentally focused. The business’ values of sustainability are driving the bottom line and contributing to the profitability and community contribution of the business.
Since launching, Norte have partnered with a number of charitable organisations to make a meaningful impact and to promote responsible and sustainable community and environmental practices in small business. Norte’s direct contribution to these efforts totals in excess of $14,000 to date. With the help of ‘Trees for the Future – Forest Garden program’ they have funded the planting of 3070 trees.
Norte also won the 2018 Bass Coast Business Award category, Environment and Sustainability.
BIG4 Inverloch Holiday Park has won numerous industry awards. It’s incorporation of many new initiatives to grow the business, including upgrading the indoor swim park and a new chat line when booking in online, as well as its long-term plan is be known as the best holiday park in Victoria, lead to its success at this year’s Gippsland Business Awards.
