Darren Chester warmly welcomed at Marlo Primary, presents new flags and engages with students
Federal MP Darren Chester received a warm welcome at Marlo Primary School, presented new flags, engaged with students, and discussed his parliamentary role and community support efforts.
Federal Member for Gippsland enjoyed a memorable welcome on his visit to Marlo Primary School, with students specially preparing two songs to perform for the local MP upon his arrival. "I received a great reception from the students and, in return, came prepared with a presentation of my own. Luckily for the ears of the Marlo PS students and teachers, it wasn't a song. I presented three new flags to replace the school's old flags, which had seen better days." Mr Chester said.

Mr Chester also spoke with students about his role as the Member for Gippsland, answered questions about his responsibilities, and took the opportunity to test the students' knowledge of the flag designs. "I was very impressed with Marlo Primary School's flag knowledge and the high level of respect they showed both to me and each other. I always enjoy speaking with local students and helping them understand what their local Member of Parliament does and how I am working to support the community."
