By Portal Admin - 5th December 2017 - Back to News Bass Coast Shire Council and the Council on the Ageing Victoria are running a free information session for community members to better understand recent changes to the aged care system.
Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Pamela Rothfield, explained the session, which will be held in Wonthaggi this Thursday, will outline how to get the most out of aged care support services and understand what resources are available to them.
"This is a great opportunity for Bass Coast residents over 65 years and their carers, to better understand who, why and where to go to for support now and into the future,"Cr Rothfield said.
Local service providers, along with the Regional Assessment Service, will attend the session and answer questions on how to access support services.
"Whether it’s you or a loved one, the session will be a great way to learn about how to optimise health and wellbeing."
The session will be held on Thursday, 30 November at 10.30am – 1pm, at the Bass Coast Civic Centre Council Chamber, Baillieu St East, Wonthaggi
Light refreshments will be provided.
