Time to get involved

Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari encouraged everyone to express their interest. "We’re looking for a diverse range of people from different age groups, backgrounds and interests to make up our Community Panel to represent all areas of Bass Coast," Cr Tessari said.

"We’re really pleased with the sheer volume of feedback from the community during the initial consultation held over the last few months, with over 700 surveys completed and over 200 people attending our drop-in sessions. Now is the time to get involved in the next stage of guiding the future of Bass Coast."

Meeting online and in person

The Community Panel will meet for five workshops, both online and in person that will be supported by an external community engagement consultant, Council Officers and experts to help better understand challenges and opportunities.

"If you’re passionate about our area and would like to be involved in shaping the future of Bass Coast then this is your chance, I’m really excited to see this Panel form and to hear the outcomes." Cr Tessari said.

Expressions of Interest are open to anyone aged over 16 who lives or owns property or a business in Bass Coast.
