After conducting an extensive survey of competitors and their crews, officials and spectators as to how much money they spent in the region on the likes of accommodation, food, fuel and other items the feedback was in excess of expectations and revealed a record amount.

Clerk of Course Stuart Lister said "This is the fourth time we have run this event in East Gippsland and we love coming here as the roads are great, the facilities are second to none, the community is so welcoming and it’s simply a great place to visit. We attracted over 2000 people to the region from all states of Australia as well as New Zealand."

"We would like to thank the communities of Lakes Entrance, Nowa Nowa, Orbost and Buchan who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to help make the Alpine the huge success that it has become. I would also like to say a special thank you to Richard Owen and the staff at Forestech for making that facility available as Rally Headquarters for the duration of the event" said Stuart.

Planning is already under way for the next event in 2011 with lots of new innovations and exciting changes in the wind. The Yokohama Alpine Rally has become the premier two wheel drive rally in Australia and will continue to grow in partnership with the community of East Gippsland.
