East Gippsland Federation Health Gippsland Business Awards East Gippsland businesses have again scooped the pool in the 2002 Federation Health Gippsland Business Awards By GippsTAFE - 6th May 2002 - Back to News Concertos by the Lake in Lakes Entrance won the New Business category with two other businesses in East Gippsland also winning awards.
Concertos by the Lake offers bed and breakfast accommodation in luxury apartments by the lakes edge.
More than 400 people attended the Federation Health Gippsland Business Awards Gala Dinner, where local businesses and industry came together to showcase what Gippsland has to offer.
Déjà Vu Bed and Breakfast in Lakes Entrance won the Accommodation category, and also won the Tourism category. Déjà Vu is a boutique bed and breakfast venue that promotes the region "first", and networks with other operators to give their guests "quality time away".
VEGCO Pty Ltd in Bairnsdale won the Primary Producer category. VEGCO Pty Ltd is an Australian owned company that produces three categories of "ready to eat" products such as salads, coleslaw and stir-fries.
There was an excellent response to the awards with applicants coming from all over Gippsland and from a wide range of industries.
The Gippsland Business Awards Gala Dinner was held at the Premiere Function Centre in Traralgon, hosted by Denise Drysdale, with entertainment by Rod Quantock.
