The Forge's September lineup blends comedy, music, family theatre, and cabaret, promising unforgettable performances to surprise, delight, and captivate East Gippsland audiences
Season opens strong
Each show brings its own spark, promising moments that will surprise, delight and stay with you long after the curtain falls. It all kicks off on Saturday 30 August with a comedy masterclass from the one and only Ross Noble.
Cranium of Curiosities is an unpredictable whirlwind of tangents, absurdity and quick-fire riffs from the Wizard of Waffle himself. Almost sold out - blink and you'll miss your chance to dive into Ross's wonderfully strange mind.
Next, direct from Belfast and London's West End, The Shamrock Tenors bring the spirit of Ireland to East Gippsland on Tuesday 2 September. Expect electrifying five-part harmonies, masterful musicianship and a fresh take on classics like Whiskey in the Jar, Wild Rover, The Parting Glass, and Danny Boy.
Family fun ahead
On Wednesday 3 September, it's the kids' turn when The Gruffalo's Child bounds onto the stage in a magical musical adventure for ages three and up (and their grown-ups). With music, puppetry and laughs, this enchanting sequel to The Gruffalo is perfect family fun.
Then on Friday 5 September, The Forge turns back the clock for The Exotic Lives of Lola Montez, a true lie cabaret spectacular from Finucane & Smith. Follow the scandalous trail of the goldfields' most infamous showgirl in a night of breathtaking storytelling, burlesque, and outrageous history.
Stay on for The Lola Lounge with live music, dancing, and a drink in hand. The Forge is where East Gippsland's culture and creativity unite. Don't miss your chance to be part of it.
