Baw Baw Council hosts mental health and resilience business masterclass with Mindfull Aus experts on 6 June 2025Baw Baw Shire Council and Mindfull Aus are hosting a business masterclass on workplace resilience and mental health, featuring expert speakers, tools, and strategies to support thriving, mentally strong teams. By news@gippsland - 13th May 2025 - Back to News Baw Baw Shire Council is partnering with Mindfull Aus to deliver a business masterclass on building resilient and mentally strong workplaces. Tickets for the business lunch event are now available for purchase, with limited spaces available for the one-time only event. 
Open to all businesses, the Disaster Preparedness Business Lunch on 6 June is hosted by Baw Baw Shire Council with Victorian government support Resilient business lunchAlong with a delicious two-course lunch, the event will feature expert speakers who understand the unique pressures faced by business owners. Attendees will enjoy a keynote speech by Melissa Yu from Mindfull Aus about building resilient teams and prioritising mental health for a thriving workplace. Mindfull Aus CEO Matt Runnalls will also share insights into a healthy workplace and what tools and support are available to local businesses. Attendees will also gain: - Tools to foster a supportive working environment that allows for meaningful conversations
- Strategies to reduce stress and manage overwhelm
- Practical advice to protect mental wellbeing while running a thriving business

Empowering business wellbeingMayor of Baw Baw Shire Cr Danny Goss said all local businesses and employers were encouraged to book a seat or a table and join the conversation. "We're grateful for the opportunity to partner with Mindfull Aus to offer valuable business workshops that will help empower our local business community to create resilient, happy, healthy and thriving workplaces." "With less than a month to go until registrations close, now is the time to invest in the wellbeing of yourself, your staff and your broader business", said Cr Goss. Prioritising business wellbeingMindfull Aus CEO Matt Runnalls said businesses should not miss this chance to connect, recharge and invest in their wellbeing. "Running a business is rewarding, but it's also demanding. Stress, overwhelm and burnout can creep in, leaving mental health on the back burner. Let's change that", said Mr Runnalls. "For every $1 invested in mental health in the workplace, there is a return of $4 in improved health and productivity. Let's create a healthier, more resilient business community - together," said Mr Runnalls. This workshop is open to all businesses, regardless of size or financial turnover. This event forms part of the Be Business Ready series of workshops hosted by Baw Baw Shire Council with support from the Victorian Government Council Flood Support Fund.
