Council Grants For The Community

Council is currently inviting applications for its grant programs

By Carol McCormack - 19th August 2002 - Back to News

Bass Coast Shire Council is currently inviting applications for its grant programs. Council funds three grant programs, which are open to community groups across Bass Coast Shire.

Community Grants are aimed at projects that promote and assist organisations with self-help initiatives and programs.

Special Event funding is aimed at events that are organised by community groups in the Shire.

Council’s Minor Capital Works Scheme allows community groups to apply for funding up to $5,000 for small-scale facility development programs. This funding is matched $1 for $1, which includes in-kind support.

"These grants are available to help local community groups with the great work they do across the Shire," said Jenny Churchill, Council’s Arts and Leisure Coordinator.

Applications for any of the three programs must be made on a funding application form and meet the funding criteria set out by the Council. All applicants must be registered with an ABN.

Application forms, criteria and further information is available at any of the Council’s Customer Service Centres, by telephoning 5671 2211 or 5951 3311, and on the Council’s website at www. basscoast.vic.gov.au

Applications close Friday 30 September, 2002.
