Banker Top TAFE Student for South Gippsland (LtoR) – Paddy Nicholls, Russel Mann and Stewart Cramer South Gippsland banker, Russel Mann has been named the most outstanding graduate for GippsTAFE in 2001 By GippsTAFE - 6th May 2002 - Back to News Mr Mann was guest speaker at the recent awards night in Leongatha, and gave an inspirational speech on the value of lifelong learning and further education.
Growing up in Korumburra, Mr Mann first worked as a concreter before applying for a position with the ANZ Bank. He started his studies with GippsTAFE in 1995, with a Diploma of Business (Accounting), and achieved outstanding results for all subjects.
During his 6 years of study at GippsTAFE Mr Mann has also worked full time while raising his two children with his wife.
In 2000 Mr Mann also started work with GippsTAFE as tutor and has received wonderful feedback from his students, always being extremely helpful to staff and very supportive to fellow students.
After working for 13 years at the ANZ Bank Mr Mann has worked his way through the ranks to become a Branch Manager, and now manages both the Yarram and Foster branches of the ANZ specialising in Business Leading.
He is now undertaking a Diploma of Banking and Finance and is preparing himself for degree studies.
