Microchipping And Pet Registration Day

East Gippsland residents will be able to have their pets ‘microchipped’ and registered at a special event in Bairnsdale next Saturday, 31 March.

A Microchipping and Pet Registration Day will be held at the Port of Bairnsdale between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm.

A joint venture between East Gippsland Shire and Microchips Australia the event will provide the opportunity for pets to have chips implanted by a vet for the low price of $20.00.

During the day the Bairnsdale Dog Obedience Club will give demonstrations, here will be a St John's Ambulance Sausage Sizzle as well as entertainment: including Jumping Castle and Face Painting. Snow Cones, Pop Corn, Fairy Floss and show bags will be free to participating pet owners.

Pet registration renewal will also be available to all pet owners with payment by cash and credit card accepted.
