Council’s Responsibilities during the Local Council Election Period
Council Election Caretaker Period from Tuesday 22 September to Saturday 24 October at 6pm.
Latrobe City Council – and councils across Victoria – will be in the Council Election Caretaker Period from Tuesday 22 September to Saturday 24 October at 6pm.
That’s the period leading up to the Victorian council elections.
During this time, Councillors who choose to nominate for re-election are Council Candidates and therefore are unable to make public comment on behalf of Latrobe City Council.
Accordingly journalists are asked to not contact Mayor Cr Dan Clancey for comment on behalf of Council for the duration of the Council Election Period, as he will be unable to make such comment.
