Online database demonstrations at libraries next weekDemonstration sessions highlighting Latrobe City’s online library service will be featuring at a number of venues next week. By news@gippsland - 4th October 2006 - Back to News The online service provides library members with comprehensive and authoritative information sources through the internet site.
The sessions will feature online access to the Encyclopaedia Britannica, health encyclopaedias, online newspapers, journals and magazines.
Using these databases, library members can find information for a school or university assignment, quality information on current events, business statistics and trends, medical conditions, archives from major Australia newspapers, or even the latest information on scientific research.
The Traralgon demonstration will take place at the Traralgon Library at 4pm on Tuesday 10 October, and those attending will have the opportunity for a hands-on experience when the demonstration finishes. Basic computer and internet skills are desirable for this session.
The Moe demonstration session will be held in the conference room at council’s service centre in Albert Street on Wednesday 11 October at 4pm.
There will be a further presentation on Thursday 12 October at the Morwell Library at 4pm.
